My Tea Towels on Junior Bake Off

I have some very exciting news to share.

For a number of years now, the team behind The Great British Bake Off have been quietly buying my illustrated tea towels to use in the baking tents. It has always been a small but wonderful thrill knowing that my designs were somewherebehind the scenes of such a beloved programme.

But recently something rather special happened

My tea towels were actually featured on screen in the junior series, Junior Bake Off, and I can finally share the news.

Seeing my designs appear as the young bakers worked away inside the famous tent was such a proud moment for my little business. It’s one thing knowing your work is being used, but quite another to spot it on television.

Some of the designs that appeared on the programme included:

• Jellyfish

• Pink Lobster

• Octopus

• Cupcakes (which will be making a return this spring)

These colourful, sea-inspired illustrations are some of my favourites, so it was a joy to see them quietly playing their part in the background of such a creative and joyful show.

From Sketchbook to the Bake Off Tent

As an illustrator, every design begins life as a painting in my studio. I start with sketches, working through subject matter.  colours and layouts until the final design emerges. Those paintings are then carefully transformed into pieces for my homewares collection.

Watching those designs travel from sketchbook… to kitchen… and eventually to the Bake Off tent felt like a lovely full-circle moment.

It’s always wonderful seeing my work used in real kitchens, but seeing it appear alongside all that baking talent and creativity on television made it feel extra special.

So if you need a kitchen linen makeover you can now bring a little Bake Off magic into your own kitchen with the very same cheerful designs.

Moments like this remind me just how grateful I am for everyone who supports my colourful little business.
